I founded Veritas in 2014 to offer a competent and warm platform of traditional healthcare delivery for patients and physicians who endeavor to preserve the sacrosanct nature of the doctor-patient relationship. Having practiced medicine since 1993, I still don’t believe we do well enough for our patients, and it’s not because we don’t put in the effort, rather because perfection is elusive. As physicians, we strive for perfection and that’s not achievable, however, in our struggles to reach that goal, we hope to pass through good enough.

Dr. John R. Hicks is a board-certified cardiologist and has been practicing in South Carolina for more than 30 years. He worked as an interventional cardiologist at Providence Hospital in Columbia for 20 years, where he was Chief of Cardiology from 2006-2009.
